My bbp1s is wired to the printer, with LCD cape, and i can connect to the printer via WiFi, I think I'm logged in to octoprint - it doesn't show connected to the printer, but I don't have any error codes so I think i logged in correctly from my old notes.

But…

I can't seem to get octoprint to really do anything. Options?

I was thinking of just flashing the firmware but have a question: can I just jump right to the last version,. 0.98, I think, or do I need to reload 0.90, and then all the patches, etc up to the final one?

What about my password? Technically didn't get an error, so I think its right, is there a way to just start over?

If you properly connect first, then it allows the button to open a window where you select the file.

i put the firmware on the SD-Card and put it into the BBP1S Board then it flashes the new firmware.

As in my final mail in dialogue with baker-d, I asked for admin access for wiki & forum, that never got replied to, I have no acess to anything, much less the database dump of neither forum or wiki to secure in order to relocate info to new project home location.

I'm rather busy pursuing some businiss opportunities related to this nowadays, but will start on porting fastbot3d software to beaglebone replicape hopefully starting today.

Meanwhile I would really appreciate if someone more web & sql savy would be willing to do me the favour of making backups of fastbot3d.com, wiki.fastbot3d.com & forums.fastbot3d.com?

If that someone or anyoneelse would like to take responsibility for these as well, even better!

Porting the unicorn software and other software parts to, should be an easier task to finish quickly, so hopefully people who's grown to rely on either their bbp boards or it's firmware, I'm planning on making sure that their current boards will still be of use and supported, while people buying a Replicape in stead, can still expect to find the same firmware functionality on this board as well.

The reason I want to sale is simple…NO MORE SUPPORT AND FIRMWARE UPDATES!!!!

And to be totally honest…help from forum members is practically nill!

Well…if the funds appear or you hit the lottery, the board is yours for the 70$ +shipping.

$70 is a tad much for my rather limited budget, especially if to evaluate cash value at current time, with the project dead and of limited interest to anyone unless I get to finish my work at least, with support for newer kernel versions, machinekit etc. realised..

Maybe well get back to it, with one of us having a different price in mind.. ;)

If you're lucky, you might get to make your board worth the money spent on if I get arounmd to finish up and suceeding with what set out to do.. ;)

BBP project failed, could not continue to go on, it was a hard decision!

We had a dream, so FASTBOT was born three year ago, but do not understand the business, the company was operating difficultly.

Software and hardware information were already on github.

Because all of you, bakers, the world is getting better!

The BBP is dead. It would have been nice for them to explain how to build the patches and full images. I can build the stuff off the github but how do you get it on the board.

Considering the state ofthe project, and my intentions for buying the board being to finish the work started, while trying to fulfill the responsibility agreed upon with project authors about relieving them from the free software related aspects of, hoping to be able to finish the almost completed work of bringing up to date with full support in place for latest relevant kernel series, u-boot, machineboot, fixing unicorn bugs etcec. with the hope
of being able to keep what remains of this project afloat, making it of still use to anyone who bought a board, or that would benefit from the code produced for the software usedby the project..

I think $50 (I accept shipping charges) is more than reasonable enough considering the eventually ultimate fate of this project will become, where this work I'm in need of acquiring a new board for will probably be the deciding factor of whether the hardware or software will hold any further value depending if provided the ability to continue without the commercial backing lost..

Well, up to you to decide what value of this would be estimated to be… ;)

As things seems to have come to halt and people might probably be regretting their purcase if the project failed…

I any such case, I'm none the less eager to buy a few for personal use.

I have only tested the board on the lab bench, not connected to the BBP(1S).

For best immunity, it needs the BBP to work with the input signals active high, not active low which is the default setting. If the software configuration does not work, the optocoupler board must be modified so that it inverts signal and be placed close to BBP.

In my opinion… the complete project is not ready to use for an printer… is an hobby solution… not for having an working printer to print, print, print…

Yes i know… but is only Low or High Active… in both cases the switch is normaly open and when reached endstop is closed. Only in this case the switch worked. I have test all variations… if the switch is closed it shows "Hit" by using command M119.

If i use Gpio and 3,3V it means the resistors removed from Board then is Low Active the default case.

The Low or High Active has not to do with the logical function of the switch. I want to use the normaly closed switch and the command M119 should show not hit!

The only test they i dismissed is when i solder resistor back on board and test again.

So in my Opinion the wiki is very bad… nothing of the important things is explain.

What about the Homing Direction or the Print Direction… the Gui is also not setable and so on.

And now here all dead… no answer of any question.. waste money….

I become the feeling to develop my own firmware or change the firmware to an functional one. The sources on Github i mean?

If i do this then on the Lcd the Upper Arrow put the table down and the arrow for bringing down put the table up.
The logical is to move Extruder up and down not the table. If i use an moving table the Lcd arrows have to inverted too like an setup for the Gui.

There is no closed switch operation to detect brocken cable like on cnc machines which is very important.

Inexplicably, however, mine get out of sync every few prints and I have to re-zero them. No idea why, as there is never any cogging or anything…

I tried to get my BBP+ to the newest version.
After flashing 0.97 on the board (which worked fine), I accidentally flashed it again as I put in the flash SD card and not my data SD card. Now the system boots up and the led does a fast double blink every 0.5 sec maybe. I can ping the system with the old IP but nothing else.
I already tried to reflash it again and failed. The flash looks normal, but after reboot nothing changes, still the fast double blink.
I downloaded the image again and used a different SD card, nothing changes.

Please help.

so i have connected my CoreXY Printer with an Z-Axis-Table.
On the LCD i see Arrows for Z-Axis to move up and down. But in the Wiki it speaks from Move Extruder up and down not the table… for an Delta is okay. But an CoreXY use the Table to go down.

So normaly i see on the LCD an Arrow down.. when i press it i think the table has to go down. So i have two ways to invert the rotation of the steppers. By Setup an by wire.

But if i press homing the Table goes down… » think is good idea.. because if i have an model print and press homing i get no crash. But in this case the minZ Limit Switch is on the bottom of the printer.. so if the table comes down it reached the endstop and hit the limit switch.

Is this correct way or if i want to print an model.. the table move up for each layer instead of move down each layer?

I can't find any information what is the normal setup for the BBP1S.

The next Problem for the XY-Axis… what is the normal setup and where are the Zero-Point?

If i invert the wires so the LCD Arrows are correct and homing is also in the direction i want… then i will say the printing is in the opposite direction?

But on Z-Axis printing in opposite direction is wrong.. the table will go up instead of down.

So normaly when i press homing of Z-Axis table goes down. When i start print the table goes up with an offset to the Extruder and then Autobed-Leveling beginns. After that it have an Offset 0,1mm under the Nozzle and beginns printing each layer and table move down each layer. After printing the table goes down to endstop.

So i don't find any information about the direction of homing and printing of the axes.

Can somewhere explain?

i play around with the configuration and find out the invert the Limit Switch function.. but it looks like there is only to have an Low Active or and High Active by inverting in Setup and change GPIO+GND to GPIO+3.3V.

So normaly milling machines and all other machines use not open switch and by homing the switch will be closed.

For the safety you have to use the inverted logical limit switch. So the Switch is closed all the time and by homing reach the endstop the switch will be open.

This ist the right way, because an broken wire or Switch stop the machine and in other case.. if the wire or Switch is broken, the machine have an collision…

So on what point of the Firmware i can invert the logical function of the limit switch?
Then is it better to use the Low-Active? My Board don't have the resistors.. because is the default. So i use GPIO and 3,3V connect to the Switch.

So i want to solder this to the normal closed limit switch connectors and then switch the logical function.
Means an closed limit switch minX is not hit! If the Switch is open , Limit Switch MinX is hit!
